Business Analyst -- Engineering

Opportunity Overview
The Engineering Business Analyst is responsible for supporting and streamlining the business processes and systems that support all global engineering functions at Banner Engineering. In this role you'll be involved with R&D, product continuation, product quality management, and the transfer of engineering projects to manufacturing.
This position will be based at our corporate headquarters, located at Highways 169 and 55 in Plymouth.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work with engineering management and other engineering personnel to identify and define improvement opportunities to engineering processes and systems with global engineering teams in mind; research the implications across the business for such changes and designs, then implement, communicate and document those solutions if adopted
- Function as a lead for engineering process and system enhancements; you'll also manage responsibility for all aspects of project management including analyzing business requirements, defining solutions, estimating project budgets, performing project planning and prioritization, and leading projects to completion
- Continue to optimize management of our digital engineering assets throughout the product lifecycle
- Work closely with the Marketing BA and Data Librarian to ensure that engineering data is available and optimized for reuse throughout the corporation for sales and marketing materials, vendor collaboration, etc.
- Responsible for the evaluation, implementation, testing and training of new modules and functionality in Workfront, Windchill PDMLink, Oracle E-Business Suite and other engineering support systems
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other BA's, SME's and management across the organization
- Act as the liaison between the engineering community and the IT team
- Follow internal standards, system integration and security practices; you'll also document changes and enhancements
- Learn Banner's business processes, products and customers

Required
- BS or BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Lotus / IBM Notes (or similar Workflow Management system) consultant or administrator configuring and maintaining systems for engineering workflows
- 5+ years of experience as a Windchill (or similar Product Lifecycle Management system) consultant or administrator configuring and maintaining systems for mechanical and electrical product designs.
- 5+ years of experience as a Workfront (or similar Work Management System) consultant or administrator configuring and maintaining Workfront request queues, dashboards and project templates for engineering value streams.
- Working knowledge of the engineering product development process.
- Working knowledge of workflow processes including specifying, implementing, and verifying workflows based on engineering value streams.
- Working knowledge of engineering design configuration and change management processes
- Working knowledge of engineering bill of materials, engineering drawings, and engineering documents and the systems used to control them.
- Working knowledge of license management systems, measuring license utilization, and managing annual support/maintenance/subscription renewals.
- Experience with the evaluation of and the leaning out of engineering value streams.
- Experience with supporting, mentoring and training of staff on engineering systems and software.
