Business Analyst - Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong data  and financial background and will be responsible for providing crucial reporting and analysis to our finance and compliance team. Additionally, this role will play a pivotal role in meeting compliance requirements in states where our company is seeking to operate, as well as ensuring ongoing compliance in states where we already operate.

• Directly support our finance team with tooling and data pulls for audit, financial planning, and analysis related requests. 
• Support the Business Intelligence team in data collection, data analysis and business intelligence reporting systems to measure and inform business strategy
• Continuously evaluate and improve finance analysis and compliance processes, leveraging automation tools and techniques where applicable. 
• Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements and guidelines at the state level for the daily fantasy sports industry. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are met during the company's expansion into new states
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance data accuracy, and optimize resource allocation to support efficiency and effectiveness in finance analysis and compliance management.
• Support the Business Intelligence team in data collection, data analysis and business intelligence reporting systems to measure and inform business strategy
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and product management, to ensure alignment and integration of finance analysis and compliance activities.

• Ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and present them to the team members and senior management
• Analytical background and experience with the following Tools:  SQL, Data Lakes, Python or R, Data Visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc…) 
• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis techniques, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data analysis and documentation.

• This is a remote position with occasional travel to our headquarters in Atlanta, GA
