Business Analyst I

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): Maine

This position supports the Digital Banking team at First Citizens. The role performs data analysis to identify factors that affect business profitability, growth, and efficiency. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information, and identifying areas of opportunity. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing data, and creates specifications to support business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
• Operational Support - Provides support for business unit by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements.
• Identifying Objectives - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. May identify strategies to achieve company and department goals, and assist in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group.
• Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Analytics, or Operations, or Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Analytics, or Operations, or Support.

• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work within ticketing systems and manage requests

Preferred Qualifications:
