Business Analyst - II
Job Description
Nissan Information Systems is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Business Analyst II, Procure to Pay at our Franklin, TN Location.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with business users in Procure to pay business area (Purchasing and Finance) supporting mainly Finance and purchasing. Help business define their Information Systems needs and translate that into requirements that can be delivered by IT vendors. Specific focus areas are Purchasing, Finance in Manufacturing (SAP MM/AP, SAP BW and client server applications)
Coordinate and provide oversight for application development, maintenance and production support performed by different IT vendors and act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Act as functional subject matter expert for use of enterprise applications like SAP MM/AP, SAP BW modules, Client Server along with associated customizations and interfaces.
Must possess the skills to read, understand, interpret, and communicate technical systematic issues effectively to management and peers.
Work independently with business users to define concepts under general direction of manager. Support the business users in creating business case by defining their system needs and by estimating appropriate high level costs and resource requirements. Should be able to challenge business users on their assumptions and proposed execution plan where necessary.
Support application development by being part of a project team and following SDLC processes to create deliverable assigned to Business Analysts which but not limited:
- Create and review implementation plans
- Developing high level functional designs.
- Review and approve detailed technical designs.
- Develop, review, and coordinate the execution of test plans
Provide oversight and lead troubleshooting as required to restore critical application downtime or functionality loss caused by various issues like data interface gaps, configuration gaps or user errors. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and be able to manage priorities
Manage incidents by working with multiple third party vendors to ensure maintenance and support is carried out effectively. Job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Qualification and Expertise
Experience
- 5+ Years overall IS/IT experience with at least:
- 5+ years application development experience
- 5+ years experience in working with third party vendors.
- Prior experience working with offshore personnel is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline with equivalent experience; Advanced technical degree preferred.
- Analytical skills to understand the organization and its functions
- Proficiency with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms - specifically SAP-ECC, mainframe, SAP BW, Cloud and SaaS environments
- Experience supporting Finance Accounts Payable and Cash Management functional areas.
- Functional understanding of Payment process and integrations with banking vendors.
- Knowledge of Procure to pay business process is a plus.
- Verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical systematic issues effectively
- Proficiency in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies
- Organization skills to manage projects, resources, risk, and change management
- Interpersonal skills to work with end users and other IS professionals (including cross functional and vendors)
- Technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization.
