Business Analyst II

Our client is looking for Business Analyst II with at least two years of experience to support multiple project-based initiatives in support of financial model creation, financial analysis and reporting as well as the implementation of various systems. The position requires a balance of technical knowledge of infrastructure, deployments along with strong communication, reporting, analysis, project and task management.

1. Creates data models, written reports and assessments
2. Drafts project updates and evaluations; presentations
3. Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning and project risk assessment
4. Focuses on data integrity (past validation efforts, very large data sets)
5. Manages complex projects from design and development to production
6. Reviews requirements and updates plan project lifecycle deployment
7. Reviews resources and updates schedule for project implementation
8. Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, milestones
9. Designs and maintain technical and project documentation
10. Identifies and solves project issues
11. Designs and updates relational databases, SQL, financial applications and governance documents
12. Identifies and solves project issues
13. Applies financial/accounting principles and best practices
14. Works with end users to gather and document requirements

Qualifications:

1. Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills
2. Strong critical thinking and data management skills
3. Strong professional communication (written, presentation and verbal) skills
4. Strong interpersonal and professionalism
5. Proficiency in the following MS Project, MS Office
6. Understanding of Accounting/Finance Principles (Government background preferred)
7. Experience creating efficiencies using software (time/cost savings as a direct result of independent work)
8. Financial Report Writing (SQL), Access DB, PowerBI, Tableau (is a plus)
9. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
10. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Technology or related field
11. Minimum 2 years of project management or IT Management experience
12. Minimum 1 years' experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes
13. Former local, state, federal government experience preferred
