Cox Communications is searching for a Business Analyst II . This role consults with internal customers and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes. Involved in various aspects of an initiative including: research, launch, customer experience design, financial and operating metrics, and process roadmaps; Facilitates cross-functional teams to satisfy customer needs and optimize customer experience through quality improvements to internal organization processes and technology; Performs research and fact-finding to lead creation of business requirements for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support. Communicates these processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that applications accurately meet business users' goals. Business Analysts consult on business requirements, collaborating with the design teams to determine impacts based on the requirements. The Business Analyst works closely with members of the technical teams across all regions to ensure all requirements are addressed in the solution design.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Lead team of Business stakeholders to define, review and iterate business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and aligned with the business intent.
  • Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs; document assumptions; assess project impact of business changes to users, internal and external customers
  • Consult with internal customers, cross-functional team members and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes to define business requirements
  • Review Architecture and User Acceptance Testing plans to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Provide status reporting for project progress, issues, dependencies, and risks
  • Develop a documented improvement roadmap which aligns with financial plans and/or meets the demands of our customers, market and competitive trends or corporate strategy
  • Support the development of business cases which define the value proposition to support investments in collaboration with business partners.
  • Perform analysis on internal data sets to identify data degradation, user compliance, and performance metrics. As well as prepare visualizations of this data to identify trends and insight from the data.
  • Exhibit leadership with respect to project development, team interactions, business insights and process improvement.
  • Facilitate communication among executives, peers and relevant department and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and awareness of current state and future plans.

Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field (e.g., Telecommunications, Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Demonstrate strong technical and subject matter knowledge of Financial fundamentals; understand budget documents
  • Understanding of employee development in a large organization with broad technical skills
  • Ability to develop executive level presentation materials
  • Meeting and event facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently, without supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environment, with specific experience in the permitting, land use and operating in a high regulatory and legal environment.

USD 63,600.00 - 95,400.00 per year
