This is an on-site role in Washington, D.C. 

The Business Analyst will maintain meeting and outreach opportunity schedules, develop meeting agendas and capture minutes, and act as the communication lead between the program and stakeholders. Strong writing skills are required to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), create and update the program newsletter, and devise and write strategic plans for the program.

Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to the sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
• Work with business analysts, developers, and testers in Agile / Scrum teams in a highly results-orientated environment.
• Knowledge and experience of MS Office products
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, decision-making, time management, and customer service skills.
• Responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project
• Develops use cases and creates activity diagrams to support use cases
• Validate that all technical requirements can be met.
• Perform document reviews, requirement reviews, and system functionality overviews.
• Develop acceptance criteria for Use Cases, User Stories, and Workflows
• Identify and analyze end-user problems
• Logically organize information and devise practical solutions to problems
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Coordinate testing activities across technical and Software Quality Assurance leads
• Assist SQA with the development of test plans, test scripts, and usability scenarios
• Assist with Requirements Validation Testing.
• Assist with Functional Testing

Experience and Tech Stack:

• 5 years of IT experience and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• 3 years of Business / Functional Analyst experience
• 2 years of SAFe and/or Agile / Scrum environment experience
• Familiarity with Agile Principles / Scrum Framework
• Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira)
• Experience eliciting functional and non-functional requirements from subject matter experts
