Business Analyst II (Business Analytics Associate)

The Business Analyst II, as a member of the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team, analyzes and helps solve complex business problems and issues using data and resources to provide insight to decision-makers. In this role, you will analyze distribution channel and registration trends in the DNS industry. The role necessitates consistent communication across teams within the company including Marketing and Account Management, Product Management, Finance and Platform Engineering in order understand business requirements and pair them with the right data-informed solutions. Your role on the team will involve designing both custom data presentations as well as repeatable standard visualizations that support continuous monitoring of key trends.

Summary of key responsibilities:

• Create specifications and implement reports and analyses based on business needs and requirements leveraging all available data sources.
• Developing and maintaining processes, both manual and automated, to ensure data quality and integrity are an important part of being successful in this role.
• Support team researching trends for briefings, presentations, and reporting that details business performance and progress relative to relevant plans.
• Iteratively identify the most effective means to communicate key data concepts to stakeholders by balancing verbal, written and visual communication techniques.
• Support the formation of recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on capturing relevant business metrics.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of progressively responsible, related business experience
• 4-year Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business, or equivalent work experience, is required
• Experience performing data ETL by designing data collection methods, data models, and transformation processes that work for both relational databases (Oracle/SQL) and distributed data systems (such as Hadoop/scripting languages)
• Strong analytic skills and the ability to share insights with peers
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tooling (such as Tableau, Excel or related tools)
• Demonstrable planning and organization skills

This position is based in our Reston, Virginia office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule.

The pay range for this role is $87,700-$118,700.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
