Business Analyst, Information Technology, South Bend, IN

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for working with various data sources to produce insights through reporting tools to be actioned on by other business areas of the bank. This is a technical position focused on Data Transformation, Data Reporting, and Data Storage.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Determines the needs of end users for technical documentation.
• Collaborates in person and remotely (Microsoft Teams bank).
• Works with both technical staff members and the business areas of the bank.
• Attends training classes in data or reporting tools.
• Follows business requirements or technical specifications to build reports, queries, and/or dashboards to solve a business need.
• Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position and continuing professional education to maintain professional certifications.
• Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Experience working with organized data structures.
• Experience working with reporting tools like Cognos, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Some experience in a college class or an internship, where data was a focus to answer questions and create action items.
• Strong skills in working through project processes (Design, Build, Deploy).
• Able to use pictures, diagrams, animations, and charts to help illustrate a process and gain understanding from various personnel.
• Must have great organizational skills.
• Prior work experience in data field a plus.
• Skill in prioritizing and balancing multiple tasks.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships and promoting teamwork.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree required (in the fields of Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Minimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
