Role

The Business Insights Strategy, Summer Intern is responsible for supporting activities related to data-driven decision-making to drive meaningful outcomes, reporting and visualization of data and trends and predictive analytics. The teammate will be expected to use their analytical insights to facilitate the resolution of complex business challenges with data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Analytics and Insights team as a thought leader and influencer by bringing a data-driven perspective to strategic decision-making
  • Provide the "story behind the numbers" explaining business performance and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify opportunities to influence business outcomes & decision-making
  • Identify gaps in reporting and opportunities to optimize business performance evaluation

Expectations

  • Analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to new information or changing assumptions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to clearly present complex information
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of applications including Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analytics applications like Power BI and Tableau
  • Desire to build a career in the communications industry upon graduation

Education/Certifications

  • A currently enrolled Sophomore or Junior in pursuit of a bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution with an anticipated graduation date between Dec 2023 and May 2025
  • Preferred field(s) of study: Business, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Previous internship experience in an analyst role preferred
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship

Reports to: Sr. Business Analyst, Business Insights Strategy

Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that requires up to 25% travel.
