Business Analyst, IT R&D Services (Contractor)

How you’ll make an impact:

As a Business Analyst, you will help provide time to patients by facilitating the delivery of IT R&D services and solutions. This will encompass user account management, troubleshooting of incidents tickets, generation of user requirement documentation and related system policies and procedures.

About the team:

The IT R&D services team supports the Research and Development functions in meeting their business objectives and goals through technology and solutions. We are currently embarking on a joint cross functional digital transformation journey to enable FAIR data principles, data driven decision making, extracting value from the storage of our data, and embodying a patients first mindset.

How you’ll spend your time:

As a Business Analyst in the IT R&D Services team you’ll help deliver more time to patients by:
• Serve as a key liaison and technical leader for the Research and Development departments
• Contribute to the IT R&D initiatives and portfolio roadmap
• Work closely with business subject matter experts to develop business process workflows
• Serve as subject matter expert and mentor for laboratory informatics projects within the organization
• Anticipates internal and external business challenges and recommends creative solutions
• Follows SDLC and change management principles to develop user requirements, SOPs and other supporting documentation to implement, manage and enhance enterprise technology solutions
• Facilitates the delivery of IT R&D services and solutions through user account management and troubleshooting of incidents, as necessary
• Supports the LIMS/ELN environments (Sapio Exemplar and LabVantage)

Who you are and what you’ve accomplished:

BS/MS and minimum of 5-7 years of Information Technology or combined Laboratory/IT experience, 3-5 years of technical support experience within Laboratory Informatics
• Experience implementing and supporting, Electronic Laboratory Notebooks and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems
• Familiarization with GxP systems and CFR part 11 principles
• Familiarization with ISTM and ITIL methodologies
• Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or life sciences
• Looking to solve difficult, messy problems like developing cell therapies for cancer—it’s hard!
• Ability to communicate above and below level in a way that fosters relationship building, including cross-functional teams, and external relationships with vendors
• Successfully worked in a collaborative team environment where results are achieved through influence and incorporating multiple points of view
• Excellent attention to detail, project and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
