Business Analyst (Korean Bilingual)

Role and Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Professional, R & D Management who will be responsible, under direct supervision, for supporting the mobile R&D lab operation in terms of planning resources, defining process, understanding role & responsibility of team, analyzing R&D project progress, managing vendor contracts, finance and providing any assistance for lab operation related. This position will participate in process evaluation, ad hoc reporting, and various financial duties. Work consists of tasks that are typically not routine, works independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.

Responsible for gathering and analyzing information from each R&D team and produce weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for Samsung audience. Topics of the reports are not limited to important developments and emerging trends in US operators, services, enabling technologies, regulations, and competitors. Conduct planning research to identify trends with the data integrated into SEA's business plans

The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. The research ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Read and interpret technology documents, media materials, contracts, or related documents. Demonstrated competency in oral and written modes for communication of R&D related information to both internal and external audiences at all levels. The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.

Skills and Qualifications

Background/Experience

Degree: BA/BS Accounting or Finance or Business Analytic.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)

Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Bilingual Korean Required.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel) V-lookup and Pivot tables (Macros a+).

Eye for detail - attention to quality and accuracies is of paramount importance in this role.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

- Perform financial forecasting, annual business plan and rolling plan, variance analysis of actual versus forecast and reconciliation of internal accounts to assess strategic decision alternatives.
- Perform the monthly profit and loss closing process.
- Prepare current financial status by month-end closing to analyze the variances between budget vs. Actual by the business plan.
- Support internal and external teams with R&D Tax Credit preparation.
- Setup yearly investment plans and quarterly overhead plans (or as requested) for SEA/HQ.
- Provide various financial reports as needed to team manager (Labor, Outsourcing, Travel, Entertainment, LVA and Etc.)
- Coordinate with financial management teams and identify and reconcile budget errors.
- Submit and obtain PUMI approval for all special projects/request.
- Assist strategic planning to reduce cost and improve efficacy of financial operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage expenses

- Perform Resource management tasks by tracking data and report resource related report.
- Coordinate with HRBP to maintain the yearly resource plan and organizational support.
- Assist and coordinate the asset management collaborating with related teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as GA, IT helpdesk, and Security, TEMS team if there is any inquiries or request from the teams.
