Job Summary

The Business Analysis Lead is an individual contributor role that provides a bridge between an enterprise business model and enterprise strategy on one side, and the business functionality of the enterprise on the other side. The Business Analysis Lead works closely with Enterprise Architecture to develop a blueprint of the enterprise that provides a common understanding of the organization and is used to align strategic objectives and tactical demands. Through deep understanding of the industry domain and a trusted partnership with key stakeholders, the Business Analysis Lead also is responsible for establishing and maintaining visibility into the business goals, needs and challenges. The Business Analysis Lead acts as a conduit between the business and IT organizations to provide clarity and collaboration across the different teams.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to organize and provide consulting on the development of business strategies, roadmap, and capability maps
  • Develop a structured approach and methodology for Business Analysis Leads and document OA Ways
  • Capture tactical and strategic enterprise goals and document the traceability to business metrics
  • Collaborate with portfolio Business Analyst and Architects to define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units
  • Support BRM Directors by providing advisory services for strategic and tactical needs and serving as proxy BRM when needed
  • Facilitate strategic conversations with business partners to shape business demand and shepherd ideas through Concept and into Feasibility
  • Develop business cases to examine strategic opportunities (including goals, objectives, and business benefits), alternatives, and the financial investment in order to make a recommendation for the best course of action to create business value
  • Ensure demand is captured, optimized, and business value is realized
  • Serve as point of contact to help business leaders navigate through IT

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or a related discipline

Recommended Education and/or Certifications

  • Master's degree in Business is preferred
  • Business Architecture Certificate
  • BRMP certification
  • IIBA certification
  • Agile certification
  • ITIL certification
  • Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) Certification

Required Work Experience

  • 10+ years of business analyst or related experience

Salary Band:07B

This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
