Job Description

We're looking for a Business Analyst with legal experience. The Business Analyst will be working out of our Hauppauge office, providing application support for our consultants. It's an excellent opportunity to learn about a growing organization. As part of our employee development program, this role will also promote internal growth.

Ideally, the candidate should have knowledge of legal applications, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Multi-tasking skills and a strong work ethic are a must for this role.

In this role, the Business Analyst will investigate, document, and understand the legal organization's application stacks. Additionally, the Business Analyst will act as a liaison between the client and the internal team for the purpose of assisting in the implementation and maintenance of legal-based applications.

There are two general areas of responsibility for this role:

Requirements Gathering:

• Oversee client meetings to define legal application stacks and workflows
• Create client requirement documents as it relates to legal applications
• Maintain knowledge of legal applications on the market for comparison with client applications
• Provide gap analysis of legal applications
• Plan, organize, and execute project goals as it relates to consulting engagements
• Document the progress of all projects and provide information to key stakeholders

Application Support:

• Provide end-user support for legal applications
• Keep up to date with applications pertaining to enhancements to products
• Create & provide organization-specific training for legal-based applications

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 1 – 3 years of FT experience in a law firm or equivalent work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task effectively
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management within the organization
