The Office of the Chief Investment Officer, led by co-CIO Harry Schwefel, supports the success and development of our long/short discretionary investment professionals, oversees our sector executive, portfolio construction, and liquidity groups, and continues to advance the tools and resources available to our teams.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing analytics and supporting strategic initiatives of the group, specifically related to our long/short equity investments.

What you’ll do

• Continuously evaluate the construction and returns of the firm’s long/short equity portfolios
• Develop portfolio construction insights and recommendations to firm management and portfolio managers
• Perform analytics on portfolios, markets, and business units
• Deliver process excellence across the team’s critical workflows, including daily analytics, capital allocation, and business planning
• Help execute the strategic agenda for the broader CIO group
• Collaborate across the broader CIO team, including with talent recruiting, professional development, operations, compliance and others
• Be creative and commercial

What’s required

• The ideal candidate is analytically minded with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
• High level of urgency, accountability, and commerciality
• Ability to learn to conduct analysis using the unit’s existing Python-based research environment
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in a coding language or tools like Excel and SQL
• Diligence and organizational skills
• Interest in core finance and investing concepts
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary range for this role is $125,000-$165,000 which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
