The Business Analyst - Business Intelligence will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and implementing business intelligence insights for Nordic. They will be responsible for connecting the business requirements and associated functions to meet current and future business needs. They will help to facilitate Business Intelligence methodology, documentation, designing, testing, and deploying business analytics capabilities.

The Business Analyst - Business Intelligence will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and implementing business intelligence insights for Nordic. They will be responsible for connecting the business requirements and associated functions to meet current and future business needs. They will help to facilitate Business Intelligence methodology, documentation, designing, testing, and deploying business analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Engaging the business to discuss and influence options for new business intelligence capabilities and insights
- Assisting business lines by facilitating change management efforts once projects become operational
- Gathering, documenting, and maintaining business requirements
- Creating illustrations to support requirements and design
- Supporting business intelligence development and deployment activities
- Performing business intelligence testing activities
- Assisting with system logging, triage, and responding to issues
- Leading small to medium-sized process improvement projects
- Researching, documenting, analyzing, and providing results for current and future-state processes
- Facilitating change management of operational projects
- Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims
- Post-secondary or equivalent experience, required
- 3+ years of business analysis or project management related experience
- Prior experience in application design, build, test, and/or deployment required
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and priorities
- Preferred experience with Advanced Excel Modeling, Data Modeling & Data Management, Business Intelligence Reporting Tools, Project Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Process Management, Finance or Systems Engineered
- Ability to work and communicate effectively and efficiently across all levels of an organization, both written and verbal
- Excellent interaction skills, collaborative work style, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to seek out, analyze, and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated success establishing rapport quickly and collaborating within an organization
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully guide change, reacting well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize
