Job Description
Precise Software Solutions, Inc., has an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst. The successful candidate has business analyst experience working within an Agile framework to support complex/critical programs.
This position is remote. Successful candidates must be able to work mostly core East Coast business hours.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship.
A qualified candidate must have or be able to attain a Public Trust clearance and be able to wait 2-3 months for a clearance for this role.
NOAA experience and/or an existing Public Trust or higher clearance is ideal.
Position Summary
In this collaborative, hands-on position, you will work with your Precise team, other companies and federal employees to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. Your initial focus will be to develop, configure, install, and customize an Archibus application. Archibus is a leading workplace management tool for data-driven real estate decisions, increased operational excellence, and enhanced employee experience.
You will work in a dynamic, driven, and fast-paced environment with similarly motivated team members to build, customize, and extend web applications. The right candidate will specialize within or across business analyst activities as part of an agile team, attending and participating in daily standups and weekly retrospectives while working closely with team members on a daily basis. They will participate across the software development lifecycle, including supporting and leading component design, development, and test activities, along with involvement in the requirements gathering process. Team members work collaboratively with other internal team members as well as the client.
Partner with clients to elicit and understand business needs, elaborate business processes and define the scope of work to be accomplished in each engagement. Become an expert in existing solutions in order to perform gap analyses that map business needs to deliverables for the purpose of making both tactical and strategic recommendations to project teams. Collaborate with project leadership to perform a variety of project functions such as monitoring and control, risk management, change management, client communication and others. Translate and document functional requirements in close partnership with technical members of the delivery team through user stories and scenarios and participate in internal design sessions aimed at converting these business needs to technical solutions. Lead both internal and external quality assurance activities and training sessions.
Skills/Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a NOAA Public Trust clearance and wait the 2-3 month clearance period
- Must be able to work mostly core East Coast business hoursĀ
- Bachelor of Science Degree or greater
- Experience with agile techniques, especially Kanban and Unified Process (e.g., OpenUP)
- Three to five years of experience in full life-cycle support of web/mobile applications
- Experience with Business-Driven-Development approaches and technologies (e.g., Specification by Example, Cucumber)
- Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Prior experience handling clients and/or teams, prioritizing and aligning work from multiple potential sources, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to think strategically and translate strategy to action for a team
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, testing
- Robust problem-solving skill set, deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

Education
Typically requires BS degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience or Mastersā with 1 year of prior relevant experience
