Join us as a Business Analyst (UX/UI)
Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a UX / UI focused Business Analyst to join the Digital Product team. The analyst will support projects across all phases of the digital product lifecycle for BBH's Investor Services. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the digital product lifecycle, user experience design and Agile scrum processes. Additionally, we are seeking candidates with experience in Financial Services, particularly global asset management. This role, positioned within the Digital Strategy team is highly cross functional and global, and focuses on analyzing the users, products, and data pertinent to product value propositions and collaborating with product and technology teams for the delivery of new digital user experiences. The analyst will contribute to key deliverables across the product development lifecycle inclusive of discovery, ideation, design, development and delivery, working closely with members of the Digital design team, product owners, client service teams, relationship managers, technologists and opportunistically, clients. Depending on the scale and volume of projects, the analyst will work on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILTIES
Analysis
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders, including: users, product owners, technologists and client support SME's to gain requirements, needs and objectives.
- Identify and capture user personas and key attributes of their objectives, needs and challenges
- Complete data centric analysis to inform UX / UI opportunities, designs and priorities
- Document findings and needs within the UX / UI research library
- Collaborate with system analysts and UX / UI designers to solution most viable product objectives and an optimal balance of investment, value, and time to market
- Collaborate with UX / UI designers on prototype iterations and ideation culminating in a visual contract for technology development
- Engage in the Agile scrum process, contributing to the iterative development of software features and functions.
- Collaborate with the scrum teams to position product releases for rollout and adoption
- Participate in usability testing and feedback sessions to identify and capture UX / UI friction points and support ideation on solutions
- Based on lessons learned and retrospective reviews of projects, propose improvements to the design methodology and research library
- Create product announcements, user guides, online help and manage publication and distribution
- Track and organize tsks, risk and issue and drive to resolution
- Communicate project progress and status to the Program, Platform and Product Manager
Collaboration
- Participate in workshops to identify key issues, needs requirements, and gaps.
- Provide guidance for other analysts through coaching, best practice sharing and collaborative solutioning
- Contribute to the evolution of the Digital Product Design System and UX Research library
- Actively engage with stakeholders and users to empathize and unearth opportunities to optimize the value of BBH products and services through a digital experience
Education level and/or relevant experience(s):
- Bachelors degree and or relevant experience
- 3+ years related industry or project work experience. Financial services industry knowledge and experience preferred
- Experience in strategic technology enabled projects
- Engagement in Agile software development processes
- Understanding, exposure, and experience with design thinking, UX design, and digital products
- Data analysis experience with typical desktop tools
- Experience in a global environment, collaborating with stakeholders and team members located in other global regions
Knowledge and skills (general and technical):
- Data analysis and tools skills. Ability to interrogate data to produce meaningful insights
- Agile Project Management Methodology
- Technical writing and layout skills. Ability to make value proposition clear and concise
- Creative and effective problem-solving and analytical skills
- Consultative and advisory skills to interpret data, feedback into actionable responses
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Practical experience in analyzing business, process, and data challenges, identifying opportunities and solutions
- Ability to communicate a product objective and requirements to technical architects and developers collaborating to design the optimal balance of value and time to market
- Consultative and advisory skills to empathize with users, uncovering unmet needs or value opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Research and data analysis skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency using windows-based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Experience with Agile tools: Jira, Confluence
