Business Analyst with CBAP, CSM Experience

1. Certification in Business Analysis from a recognized professional body such as the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or the Project Management Institute (PMI). Certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are often highly sought;
2. Five (5) or more years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
3. Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development;
4. Ability to document user stories and write business IT system requirements;
5. Experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and define future needs and operations based on use case and analysis of alternatives;
6. In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering;
7. Ability to coordinate project teams and effectively conduct the initiative to meet overall objectives;
8. Experience communicating and working within cross-departmental teams, strong collaborative skills;
9. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel;
10. Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings;
11. Ability to provide excellent leadership and negotiation skills;
12. Ability to provide excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
13. Experience with meeting facilitation and documentation.
14. Proficiency in business intelligence tools (like Power BI, Tableau), data analysis software (like Structured Query Language, Python, R, Statistical Analysis System), project management software (like JIRA Software, Trello), and knowledge of databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems;
15. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is often desired;
16. Experience working on state or federal government projects;
17. Experience working with technical programming teams;
18. Ability to demonstrate a take-charge, can-do attitude with the initiative to solve complex problems;
19. Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders;
20. Knowledge of IT standards and security in a criminal justice environment;
21. Positive team player with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic; and
22. Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and organize and prioritize activities.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
