Role Summary

Cigna is seeking a highly motivated leader with strong data and analytics background, reporting to the Director of Strategy, to join our growing and dynamic team leading and supporting the development of our Digital & Analytics (D&A) strategy and execution of our strategy. This individual will play a key management role in high-visibility, large-scale projects that drive the organization's D&A adoption and engagement. This individual will be responsible for leading advanced analytics and research activities in efforts to make recommendations supporting digital, analytics, and technology initiatives, as well as a providing data-driven analyses and strategic communication to senior leaderships with a focus on consumer insights and healthcare outcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analytics to support cross-functional initiatives to improve Cigna and Evernorth's digital & analytics adoption and engagement, design sustainable solutions, and turning our strategic recommendations into reality through a test-and-learn approach
  • Develop a rigorous and detailed understanding of our Digital and Analytics KPIs driving business outcome, by product, services; being able to link our strategy and execution to measurable, quantitative outcome
  • Collaborate effectively with D&A and business leaders influencing outcomes through effective verbal and written communication skills including planning and facilitating workshops, developing compelling senior-level presentations and other highly visible communications
  • Lead and conduct analyses to identify business use cases, capability requirements, and digital, technology & data dependencies to support the our key strategic initiatives
  • Lead and conduct various financial/quantitative analyses including the complex data research, data mining, data exploration, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets
  • Interpret business feedback and results to succinctly create compelling recommendations and solutions for senior leadership sponsorship and buy-in

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Sciences, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related quantitative field.
  • Prior management experience working at large corporations or consulting firms leading data and analytics work streams strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analytics or business analytics roles (experience with healthcare data preferred)
  • Strong technical skills required to explore, extract, organize, transpose and analyze large data sets housed in Teradata/Hadoop/Postgres using SQL and/or SAS required. Python or R is a plus.
  • Ability to build Visualizations using SQL/SAS/R/Python to tell a data story
  • Self-Starter who enjoys problem solving and creating innovative solutions
  • Prior management/strategy consulting or Big 4 consulting experience preferred
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop sophisticated quantitative analyses and synthesize the results into implications and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
  • Experienced in developing and analyzing complex financial models and other quantitative assessments including business KPIs, ROI, P&L, etc.
  • Proven business acumen with experience researching marketing trends and consumer insights, category analysis, competitive benchmarking, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of shaping messages appropriately for a senior-level audience and proficiency using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 94,300 - 157,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
