Business Analytics Lead Analyst - Remote
Job Description
Compiles and analyzes results for identification of improvement opportunities. Provides actionable information and recommendations to management through various analytic techniques on issues related to business people, processes and technology.
Develops, produces, gathers and improves executive and line of business scorecards and decisive and distinct information. Defines and consults on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards and surveys. Provides measurement and cost savings support for data management accuracy.
Will work as an individual contributor to work on complex analytical processes utilizing judgment, fact, and discretion within a large business organization or across functional areas.
Actions have significant impact on key department objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Execute management strategies project portfolio, identifying areas of improvement, gathering data, conducting analysis and recommending controls or other actions to ensure accuracy of Provider data for consuming use.
- Managing multiple complex, time sensitive projects designed to deliver targeted outcomes:
- Can organize departmental efforts to identify, prioritize and assess the impacts of business process problems and consumption defects
- Can lead efforts to develop data collection plans and data acquisition
- Can lead and train a team in performing analysis activities to deliver to defined objectives
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of business process and technology through the use of rigorous methods to identify causes of variation, improvement opportunities and solutions considering both upstream inputs into business process and downstream consumers of data
- Identify opportunities for improvements based on fact based analysis
- Can summarize results of analysis and effectively communicate to management recommendations for actions to resolve business issues
- Management Operations & Delivery:
- Utilize process maps to map data flow through business processes
- Gather and define baseline business metrics primarily to illustrate impact of business outputs to customers
- Utilize trending analysis to identify opportunities in business processes
- Analyze the quality of input data from vendors
- Working in close partnership with business partners is a highly matrix environment
- Utilize information garnered from analysis to partner with Process Owners and Quality Oversight to identify gaps in business processes.
- Establish a mentoring program to advance maturity of baseline quality assurance methods to move towards a more outcome based quality program.
- Partners with departments to develop metrics, analyze problems and recommend improvement opportunities associated with business processes
- Coach and develop colleagues
- Translate business needs into practical applications and solutions
- Use relevant technology/software to wrangle data, perform analytics, and visualize for consumption
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field preferred
- Experience working in Healthcare - Government Business/Medicare, preferred
- Advanced Excel skills - v-lookups, macros, pivot tables, highly preferred
- Knowledge of SQL, TOAD and SAS preferred
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to provide innovative, practical, and consistent solutions
- Strong communication skills to include written, oral, and group presentations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills
- Deep healthcare data statistical analysis experience and demonstrated understanding of health care and delivery systems processes
- Excellent collaboration and partnership skills with proven experience in managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change
- Ability to independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72,800 - 121,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
