Business and Marketing Data Science Manager, gTech
Job Description
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of experience in quantitative analytics with a focus on marketing analytics
- 5 years of experience in people management
- Experience with analytic software tools (e.g., SQL, R, SAS)
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience working in the ad industry
- Experience with Cloud engineering and storage

The Business and Marketing Data Scientist Manager will manage a team of talented Marketing Data Scientists servicing the various parts of Google's ads business, including YouTube, Google, and Display Ads.

Through technical implementation, optimization, and engineering solutions, gTech Professional Services helps customers achieve their business goals while building long-term tech and marketing capabilities.
The gPS Marketing Data Science team helps measure and optimize marketing return on investment for Google's clients. We help build bespoke models that address clients' key business questions. We are multi-disciplined professionals, PhDs, statisticians, economists, engineers, and former consultants with deep experience in Data Science, Machine Learning & Marketing Analytics. We learn the innovative technologies that drive Google products and bring those innovations to life in the context of specific client engagements.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Marketing Data Scientists that provide consultative services and develop custom machine learning/statistical solutions.
- Deliver strategic vision of the organization, establishing close relationships with leaders in Sales to ensure strategic alignment on opportunities and customer priorities.
- Build media measurement vision and lead analytics aspects of client engagements in the area of Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution, and Incrementality.
- Solve complex analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods such as statistical and machine learning models.
- Design and deliver projects that drive automation, yield insights, and/or merge customer data with Google stack for the benefit of meeting our customers' business objectives.
