Business Applications Engineer

As a Business Applications Engineer at Slingshot, you will be responsible for driving return on investment of our business applications through evaluation and implementation of new systems and utilization of existing solutions. You will work independently to develop a roadmap for all business applications and tools that meets both current and emerging business needs. 

This individual will also have a focus on enhancing NetSuite capabilities by building dashboards, coordinating integrations, and managing consultant services and relationships.

• Execute all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose

• Lead evaluation and selection of software and vendor solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders (both end users and financial needs)

• Develop and manage implementation plans and train end users

• Serve as a business technology resource for the operations team

• Supports employees with use of queries, reporting and extracting data from Netsuite ERP

• Coordinate integrations between applications, to include testing and release across the business infrastructure

• Create business system documentation, to include policy and training resources to ensure business workflows are usable, scalable, secure, and auditable

• Lead 3rd-party Netsuite consultants

• Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)

• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data science or IT field
• B.S. in computer science, information systems or related field
• Experience selecting and implementing enterprise applications
• Proficiency with programming languages, ability to write and interact with SQL environment 

• Experience working with NetSuite ERP, including scripting and report writing
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Experience in financial services
• Proficiency using Confluence and/or Jira ticketing
• Interested in people leadership
