Job Description

The Business Architect will work closely with senior architects to guide the enterprise through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation of business strategy, outcomes, and capabilities. You will collaborate across IT and the Business to assist senior architects to build and implement a roadmap for business capabilities that are seamlessly integrated and improve the value of process and data integration. You will need to learn and understand the complexities of the organization, processes, information, and technologies to contribute to future-state architectural solutions to best realize the organization strategy. How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will collaborate with senior architects to analyze existing business processes, workflows, and operations. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • You will assist in gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders. Contribute to the translation of requirements into architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology solutions.
  • You will support the development of comprehensive business architecture models, under the guidance of senior architects. Contribute to defining and documenting business capabilities, functions, and interdependencies to support organizational goals.
  • You will collaborate with technology teams to support the design and implementation of innovative solutions. Assist in ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and adhere to architectural standards.
  • You will assist in building relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts, and technology teams. Communicate architectural concepts effectively and contribute to decision-making discussions.
  • You will contribute to change management processes by identifying potential risks and challenges associated with proposed changes. Assist in developing strategies to minimize disruption and facilitate successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • You will stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to business architecture. Contribute to identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the organization.
  • You will assist in documenting architectural artifacts, including business requirements, process models, and architecture diagrams. Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for various stakeholders.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in business, information systems or related discipline and 5+ years of business and technology solution experience and/or business analysis/analytics experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS: • Familiarity of different types of business and operating models (existing, new, emerging and hybrid).• Familiarity in some aspects of designing and constructing business capabilities, value streams, business processes, and organizational structures.• Familiarity of business process management, workflow and integration methods and tools.• Familiarity of design and modeling tools to develop business architecture deliverables. • Knowledge of facilitation of projects and products, and organization change management.• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects.• Proficiency in documentation and presentation tools.• Proficient anticipatory, statistical and information analysis skills• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a passion for business architecture and technology
