Business Change Analyst

Role Overview:

This position will sit between Business and Technology, with a focus on driving business process improvement through the application of technology.

This is a high visibility and high impact opportunity given the diverse mandate with responsibilities spanning across both business analysis and hands-on technical delivery. As such, the ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and willing to learn new technical skills as well as become a business domain expert. In addition, navigating conflicting priorities across teams will be a key requirement.

The objectives of this role will include

• Improving internal processes by implementing user workflows and solutions within tools such as Appian, M-Files, Salesforce as well as other systems. The ideal candidate will be technology agnostic and focused on business value
• Build reporting and analytics for Human Capital, Legal, Corporate Accounting, Operations, and other teams
• Create more efficient processes through creating cross-team and cross-functional workflows

• Automate workflows to reduce the risk of human error
• Customize Appian and other tools to improve the user experience, including writing code from time to time
• Create automated tests for workflows
• Keep up to date with Appian feature releases, evaluate and integrate features as well as train users while driving adoption of new features

• Lead requirements gathering and solution design
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Create technical solutions to solve current day business problems while accounting for how requirements and constraints may evolve in the future
• Build reporting solutions to monitor the success of initiatives
• Collaborate in cross-team efforts
• Create training documentation that will be used by other teams
• Demonstrated experience in at least one primary BI tool such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker

• Strong analytical skills to extract requirements from end users rather than work from a fixed spec
• Ability to understand business requirements, prioritise them and organise them in a roadmap
• Experience in adapting already gathered requirements to the evolving needs of the business
• Exceptional attention to detail and an internally driven focus on correct data
• Exceptional communication skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated examples of resilience to deal with ambiguity and change
• Ability to provide clarity and insight through data visualizations and reporting commentary
• Experience working in asset management (Private Equity, Long-only, Hedge Funds, Family Office) is advantageous but not required
