The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking a Business Consultant to work closely with Q2 Gro Project Managers, Implementation Engineers and Client Project teams. This individual will report to an Implementations Delivery Manager and engage on multiple Q2 Gro implementations concurrently.
Business Consultants provide consultative subject matter expertise while working with various Q2 internal teams, and also develops, delivers and trains on best practices in both technical and non-technical aspects of a project. The Business Consultant inspects for gaps in training, work aids and execution detail so together, the client and Q2 teams meet and exceed delivery expectations.
A Typical Day:
This role typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams including various client disciplines. May communicate in various forms to Q2 and Client executive level staff. These types of communication can include emails, presentations, and meetings to serve different purposes (can include consultative recommendations, setting expectations, developing requirements, and facilitating conflict resolution).
As a market leader in digital sales, the Q2 Gro team is responsible for the ongoing innovation and expansion of the Q2 Gro Checkout product. Q2 Gro's intuitive digital sales platform provides an optimized user experience for tasks such as account opening and loan underwriting. Our mobile-first, streamlined account opening capabilities are proven to reduce abandonment and shorten the application process to under four minutes, helping our Client expand their reach through acquisition growth across digital channels.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assesses project risks and builds mitigating strategies
  • Trains on best practices and proper execution
  • Participates in building testing plans and guides teams through testing
  • Works with Solutions Architectd and Development to ensure suggested solutions are feasible
  • Acts as a liaison and manages expectations of key sponsors and Client executive staff related to timing, functionality and back-office requirements needed to support a successful go live
  • Supports case management and timely issue resolution by facilitating Case/Issue Reviews
  • Acts as subject matter expert in product features and functionality
  • Helps to build requirements and solution design
  • Analyzes customer's business and makes recommendations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, privacy policies and controls are adhered to

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing and or Sales and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software deployment, architecture and methodologies
  • Knowledge of effective business requirements practices and support methodologies
  • Familiarity with script-based configuration (JSON)
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to interface effectively with technical teams as well as non-technical Senior Management
  • Remains calm, diplomatic and cooperative under stressful conditions
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm for reaching goals and meeting deadlines
  • Passion for improving processes with commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Q2's compensation reflects the cost of labor across a variety of U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based upon the applicant's geographic location as well as job-related knowledge, skills and experience .
This position is an exempt position and the range for this position for New York City, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area-based roles is $83,200.00-$104,000.00
For New York state (outside New York City), Washington state (outside Seattle), California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area), and Colorado-based roles, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,200.00-$94,000.00

Salary ranges for Sales positions are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission). A variable bonus and/or restricted stock unit grant may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
