What we’re looking for

The Business Continuity Analyst will coordinate strategies for – and ensure the integrity of the organization’s business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) processes for all departments and office locations. This role will provide assistance in the areas of continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, testing, training & awareness, and other related initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct, communicate, and maintain business continuity lifecycle planning including BIA, recovery planning, and testing
  • Coordinate and facilitate BC/DR testing and exercises, including tabletops
  • Draft/update planning procedures and plans as vital, ensuring all controls for BC/DR are captured
  • Participate in reviews by Internal Audit, external audits, and internal compliance
  • Liaison for departments during live events
  • Third Party reviews for relevant BC/DR capabilities
  • Occasional travel may be required to office locations
  • Will be expected to be available during non-business hours as required
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.


Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years of proven experience in BCP process engagement, BC/DR planning, and related activities

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and practice of Business Continuity Program Lifecycle (DRII)
  • Ability to use BC software systems
  • Exercising, Maintaining, Documenting, or Auditing Plans
  • Project Management/Leadership experience preferred
  • Has a familiarity with Business Impact Analysis reports
  • Risk Assessments & Risk Management
  • Recovery Strategy Optimization and Continuity Plan Documentation
  • Has the ability to critique business continuity and disaster recovery documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization, especially by networking with senior internal and external personnel outside own area of expertise.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while handling multiple priorities
  • Ability to write clear meeting minutes
  • Ability to critique and create test scripts
