The Opportunity
Our Analytics team owns SuCo's data strategy by identifying areas of improvement and finding business growth using data and modern technology. We aren't your ordinary Analytics team; we are true partners to our business verticals and clients. We are looking to add a brilliant Business Data Analyst who will be the central driver of our data strategy, its implementation, and communication around analytics for marketing and business operations within our business. Your expertise with data analysis and ability to extract trends and future outcomes will have a huge impact on finding growth levers and driving optimization across sales, marketing, and consumer experience activities. We value thoughtful analysis, strong collaboration, and excellent presentation skills.
Responsibilities

• Track, report, and analyze performance across our vertical teams; proactively identify and explain anomalies in a thoughtful and concise way
• Translate business questions into actionable insights through automated reports and dashboards
• Develop strong hypotheses and clearly communicate results through deep understanding of the nuances within the business vertical
• Create and answer "what if" scenarios and forecasting through data modeling and the expert use of web analytics and BI tools
• Troubleshoot data and reporting issues through thorough knowledge of database and table structures
• Initial projects may include working with key stakeholders across the business to create unique buying strategies for each buyer tailored to their specialties

Required Skills

• 1+ years of experience in a professional Analytics role, specifically with focuses on data mining, segmentation, lookalike modeling, and lifetime value concepts
• Experience with various Business Intelligence (BI) tools with the ability to create dashboards, reports, and other automation reports. We use analytics/BI tools like SQL, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office
• Expert level knowledge and use of Excel with the ability to model using advanced functions, pivot tables, and macros
• A passion about the inner workings of data and data technologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting lead generation businesses and owning the data and insights for these types of products
• Familiarity with Digital Marketing platforms such as Google Display Network (GDN) and Facebook is highly preferred
• Experience finding the hidden gems in performance marketing data and ideating solutions based on them
• Experience within scrappy startup or mid-size companies is a plus

Employment Information

• Preferred Locations: Denver, CO or Los Angeles, CA
• Base Salary Range: i.e. $70,000 to $100,000
• Competitive bonus in addition to base salary compensation
• Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt
