Business Data Analyst

Overview: 

Guidepoint Qsight has quickly emerged as the leading provider of market intelligence and data for the global medical aesthetics industry. Qsight needs a Business Data Analyst who possesses a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and data source validation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in guiding the quality and accuracy of a directory product, ensuring the best data sources are leveraged, and making data-driven recommendations. This role requires an individual who can seamlessly blend business requirements gathering with technical data analysis, bridging the gap between the product and technical teams.

This position can be remote. Ideal candidates MUST be comfortable working EST hours.  

What You'll Do:

• Analyze data from multiple sources to determine the reliability and accuracy of each
• Make data-driven recommendations on the best sources to trust and use
• Collaborate with the product team to elicit requirements
• Translate needs into clear and concise business and technical requirements
• Interface with engineering teams to draft detailed technical specifications based on business requirements
• Continuously monitor data results to ensure implemented business rules are correctly represented in the final product
• Identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data
• Create detailed tickets if data inconsistencies are found
• Confirm that issues are prioritized and addressed by the technical team
• Document data processes, methodologies, and validation techniques
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and clarity for all parties
• Ensure alignment and precision in all stages of the product lifecycle

What You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analysis role
• Proficiency in SQL and other data analysis tools
• Previous experience with a directory product or similar data-intensive products
• Knowledge of data scraping techniques and tools
• Experience in analyzing data discrepancies and inconsistencies
• Strong knowledge of data validation techniques and data quality assurance
• Proven experience in requirements gathering and documentation
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

What We Offer:

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
