Business Analyst (Computer Systems Analyst - Journeyman)

Job Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Candidates must be willing to work onsite as required by the client (currently 2x every 2 weeks, on a rotational schedule by team)

This position supports an exciting and rewarding contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) within Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Securing America's transportation systems with cutting edge technology and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Requirements gathering and documentation
• User Story and Use case documentation
• Facilitation of Agile ceremonies
• Development of functional artifacts and deliverables (designs, process flows, story maps, etc.)
• Ad-hoc Production support (issue investigation, triage, and resolution)
• Some aspects of release management and environment management (change request logging, documentation, error logging)
• Assist in the process of documenting, analyzing, tracking, prioritizing, and agreeing on requirements from business and technology stakeholders. Controlling change and communication to relevant stakeholders
• Assists the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt workshop. Helps team and ART estimate larger Features and Capabilities
• Communicates with management and outside stakeholders
• Assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and/or business solution

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience on IT development contract
• 3 Years Experience in a business analyst or requirements analyst role
• Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management tools (such as Rational Team Concert (RTC) or JIRA)
• 2+ years experience with facilitating communication/collaboration with client and development team staff through in-person and virtual settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Active Secret Level Security Clearance

Preferred Skills:

• 1+ Years experience serving in a Scrum Master role
• Experience with Agile, SAFe, PO/PM
