WebBank engages in a full range of banking activities including consumer and commercial loan products, revolving lines of credit, credit cards, private-label and retail credit issuance, auto-refinancing, insurance premium financing, and more. The Bank provides personal touch, direct contact with executive management, and quick decision making paired with flexible, customized, and sophisticated structured finance and capital markets solutions.  Our programs allow our clients to grow and expand nationally, increase their customer base and penetration rates and allow them to create in-house captive financing solutions to increase company revenue. The Bank also provides capital in the form of asset-backed lending and other credit facilities to strategic partner platforms, FinTech companies, credit funds, and other lenders with a targeted focus on specialty finance or lender finance assets. 

Job Summary

The Business Development Analyst/Manager will be responsible with assisting senior BD team members with leading and executing the sourcing of strategic partner programs for the Bank including strategy, target identification, outreach, deal structing and negotiation.  The position reports to the VP, Business Development.  The Analyst will develop a thorough understanding of the industry and the Bank’s market position, along with understanding of how the Bank operates. The Analyst will take the lead in market scans and strategy projects including presentations around these growth opportunities. The Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research related to the Bank’s strategic initiatives and target markets. The Analyst will also be responsible for internal reporting and will assist in the review of term sheets and legal documents.  The Analyst will join senior sales calls with prospective clients and aid with note taking and follow-ups and lastly will have opportunities to assist deals related to leveraging the Bank’s own balance sheet, capital available at Bank affiliates, and other opportunities to grow the Bank.

The ideal candidate will come from a finance, economics, accounting, business, computer science or engineering background and be comfortable with performing financial analysis, evaluating market trends and indicators and preparing presentations and reports for Bank executives.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and successfully meet established project deadline requirements.
• Outstanding initiative, communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and organizational skills required.
