Base Salary: $60,000 to $75,000
Commission: $15,000
- Overall compensation (base salary + commission) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications.

If so, we invite you to apply to GreenBiz Group’s Business Development Associate position. We’re hoping to hire someone who’s looking to accelerate their sales career and is eager to help our team as we expand into new markets, launch new products and cultivate a rapidly growing list of corporate partners and sponsors.
This is a fully remote position available anywhere in the US with the option of coming into our Oakland, CA office as well as team events approximately 4 times a year.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead outbound email prospecting campaigns and account research to target, qualify and schedule calls for the sales team
- Assist account executives in identifying and developing new sales leads through various channels
- Conduct initial outreach to potential clients and qualify leads based on their needs and interest in our products and services.
- Directly sell digital and event sponsorship products to marketing, communications and sustainability leaders at small/mid-sized companies
- Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify and schedule calls with prospects
- Track and analyze competitive market share and industry events
- Maintaining and managing all activities in Salesforce and leveraging other sales/marketing tools including LinkedIn and Marketo
Requirements
- 0-1 years experience in sales, business development, customer success or related role
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales team
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills via video conference and email
- Passionate about the mission of GreenBiz which aims to build and empower communities to confront the threats of climate change
- Resourceful, self-starter who is eager to prospect new sales opportunities, nurture leads and close business
- Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Customer centric with an understanding of customer objectives
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
