Business Development Associate, Deal Submission Forum
Job Description
THE PURPOSE:
Slickdeals is the largest and most trusted platform that helps connect 12 million monthly users with the best products at the best prices. Slickdeals is looking for a Business Development Associate (Deal Submission Forum) who is self-motivated, enjoys working in the fast-paced digital space, and wants to utilize their existing business experience and apply it at a rapidly growing company.
The Business Development Associate (Deal Submission Forum) will assist with the Slickdeals self-service platform which enables advertisers to submit deals to be reviewed and posted within our forums to drive engagement and sales revenue.
THE ROLE:
- This role will report to the Business Development Manager of DSF
- Assist with onboarding advertising partners to our platform
- Manage and qualify relevant inbound leads
- Empower advertising clients to post deals to our Hot Deals forum with appropriate onboarding materials and process
- Work with internal Deal Specialists to optimize content and deal details with compelling offers to engage our community and help generate sales and revenue
- Assist with monthly campaign subscription plans to meet the needs of our client partners
- Be involved in all aspects of creating long-term value for the organization which include optimizing current partner relationships, negotiating new partnerships, and finding new revenue opportunities
- Analyze the current and historical performance of subscribers and deals using internal data and insights to inform business decisions
- Work cross-departmentally to provide best in class service to clients
THE CANDIDATE:
- Strong sense of ownership and strategic thinking
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to grow partnerships
- Understanding of the deal ecosystem and how Slickdeals works
- Ability to work with cross functional teams to develop our self serve platform over time to help meet and exceed the needs our our clients and partners
- Ability to multitask within a fast pace media environment
- Positive attitude and strong eagerness to learn
- Quick learner; pays close attention to detail
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as sales, account management, or customer service
- Strong track record of working collaboratively to build ad products
- Working with large data sets, generating reports and actionable insights
- Ability to articulate in Slickdeals voice to the community
- Extremely reliable and responsive
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in digital forums
- Bachelor’s degree program focusing in Marketing, Business or Finance, or Communication
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Loves online shopping and understands consumer behavior
- Awareness of social commerce, popular trends, products, and brands
LOCATION: Los Angeles or Las Vegas
Remote schedule with occasional visits to either our Los Angeles or Las Vegas office.
