Business Development Associate, North America
Our premium Trend Forecasting Agency is seeking a Business Development Associate with strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability multitask and build relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in the Fashion/ Design industries and a proven track record developing new business while retaining current clients.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing prospecting to produce a steady stream of leads, setting up introductory meetings and effectively communicate our value proposition
- Identify prospects and clients challenges and articulate how our product offering can bring value and support their initiatives.Â
- Meet an annual revenue goal comprised of new business and/or expanded services within existing clients
- Manage a portion of existing trend book clients through seasonal meetings.
- Represent company at trade shows and events to present products and network with potential clients
HQ Correspondence:
- Liaise with the Project Manager for any ongoing consulting projects regarding questions from clients to the team and vice versa, timelines, and more.
Marketing:
- Collaborate with Managing Director, North America to discuss relevant opportunities for participation and brand awareness.
- Liaise with tradeshows regarding Peclers representation i.e., booth, trend partner, etc.
- Trend presentations at tradeshows
Client Relations:
- Actively reach out clients when their due for annual/seasonal subscription
- Present seasonal content
- Field requests and provide support as needed regarding access to content, training on digital platform, etc.
Finance:
- Ensure clients are receiving invoices in a timely manner
- Liaise with SU team to ensure we’re receiving payments in a timely manner
Desired Skills and Experience About You:
- You are in the local NY area with ability to travel.
- You have 1-3 years of experience in a B2B sales environment as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager or Client Services Representative.
- You have experience in or serviced the apparel and design industries.
- You’re resourceful and creative with a keen capacity to regularly identify new ways of reaching prospects
- You’re comfortable with LinkedIn & Salesforce
- You’re comfortable making cold calls and scheduling meetings with prospective clients
- You have a knack for writing and are detail oriented
- You pride yourself on being self -motivated, enthusiastic, and independent
- You are a polished communicator with stellar interpersonal and presentation skills
- Must be Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficient
