Business Development Coordinator

Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support the US and International Mining Business Center's leadership team in growing our business through assistance with account management, pursuits, proposal/SOQ development, promotional activity, communications, and special initiatives. This role is key to expanding our industry presence and increasing top line revenue by creatively leveraging our mining services.
The Proposal Coordinator will report to the Business Center Practice Leaders. This role will work closely with Leadership, Business Developers, Marketing, and Project Managers.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare client- and opportunity-specific promotional materials, such as statements of qualifications (SOQs), prequalification packages, expressions of interest (EOIs), and content for proposals and presentations.
- Assist with win-strategies for strategic pursuits and provide marketing assistance for select proposals.
- Support tradeshow and conference activity (attendance, papers, etc)
- Coordinate and promote local promotional events, client engagement events, community engagement events, sponsorships, and scholarships.
- Support internal tracking and information related to opportunities/leads, strategic pursuits, key wins and promotional activities.
- Manage marketing printed collateral inventory and advise on marketing merchandise inventory.
- Coordinate external communications including social media, blogs, editorials, technical publications, client e-cards, etc.
- Assist with special initiatives as requested by Business Center Leadership.
- Minimal event attendance or travel may be required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt to various style-guides, mediums, and audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in the following Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Proficiency in the following Adobe applications: Acrobat and Photoshop. Experience with additional creative applications is an asset.
- Familiarity with SharePoint or other information-sharing platforms is an asset.
- Strong initiative under minimal supervision to take ownership of processes and tasks.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization and tracking skills. multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple concurrent assignments.
- Collaborative and flexible in working with a variety of personalities.
- Versatility to deliver on changing tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, marketing, communications, technical writing, public relations, or related field preferred
- 2-6 years of progressive experience in a marketing and proposal development role.
- Experience developing responses to expressions of interest (EOIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Experience in the engineering/consulting industry is preferred. Mining experience preferred.
