Business Development Coordinator
Job Description
THE PURPOSE:
Slickdeals is the largest and most trusted social shopping platform that connects 12 million monthly users with the best products at the best prices.
The Business Development Coordinator will provide pre- and post-sales support working closely with account leads within the business development team, to help develop client relationships and ensure advertising campaign success. This person will assist in creating affiliate media proposals, gathering campaign assets, supporting campaign optimization to grow revenue, and develop strategic client initiatives to help build lasting partnerships.
THE ROLE:
- Work with account leads to support clients, help identify new business opportunities, and determine key objectives focused on customer success
- Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and help develop client strategy and campaign goals
- Maintain a deep understanding of Slickdeals’ product solutions & strategic business goals to support pitch creation & value articulation
- Assist with preparation of client presentations that include research and unique value recommendations; help develop advertising plans that maximize client budget goals and align with campaign objectives
- Collect and deliver creative assets for media campaigns
- Monitor internal performance reporting on clients’ media campaigns
- Deliver post-campaign reporting for high-revenue campaigns, and upon client request
- Create media proposals for RFPs totaling $10K or less
- Monitor advertisers’ unused/outstanding media funds; proactively outreach with spending opportunities
- Maintain a regular cadence of auditing team’s deal and activity records within HubSpot CRM; flag areas of concern within HubSpot activity / performance, if necessary
- Monitor Slickdeals forums for opportunities to promote deal content for clients
- Proactively collect feedback on client promotional calendars; complete client outreach for re-engagement opportunities with lapsed accounts
- Collaborate internally with Slickdeals’ Deal Hunting team on client deal post requests
- Assist with ad hoc internal data pull requests and with the upkeep of internal reporting resources used by the wider Business Development (BD) team
- Provide cross-team coverage when needed, including media campaign scheduling within ad server
- Ad hoc requests as directed by BD Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
THE CANDIDATE:
- Proficient and effective communication skills a must
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfort with interpreting data to draw conclusions for strategic decisions
- Able to synthesize data into digestible reports and communicate findings
- Works collaboratively with internal teams
- Takes ownership in their work and its efficacy
- 1+ years of experience in a strategy and/or communications role or equivalent skillset
- Experience using sales, CRM and research software preferred
- Works efficiently & effectively, completing assigned tasks on time with little to no error
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Drive Resources
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Tableau
- CRM / Hubspot
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
This position will have a hybrid schedule, visiting the Culver City office two to three times a week.
