What you'll do:

Business Development internship duties may include:

• The Business Development team is responsible for managing channel relationships that currently represent nearly $40 billion with OneAmerica. The team is also responsible for rolling out new products and services at the business channel level. The role of the team is a combination of relationship management and sales skills. The intern will get first-hand experience learning from some of the best Directors on the team. Currently there are 4 Directors in Indianapolis who will be there for training and support. The other 5 associates are in other states working remote. The intern will create while in their role will benefit all 9 on the team. An education in Business and Finance with a passion for working with data and assessing trends by capturing key data points that help us measure the success of the channel relationship and areas where we can improve. Compiling this information in a way we can tell a story to our customers by showing an increase in sales or a decrease over time is invaluable.

Additional Details:

• 10-week paid summer internship (June - August)
• 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
• All work is expected to be hybrid, mandatory 2 days in office.
• Housing or stipends are available for eligible candidates.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited institution towards a 4-year undergraduate degree
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Completed at least 2 years towards a bachelor's degree.
• Preferred areas of study include Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related subject.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Preferred Software: Excel and Salesforce

This selected candidate will be expected to work in a Hybrid environment. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
