Description: Due to continued, planned, growth we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our exceptional team. This is a strategic and managerial position that is responsible for all aspects of the sales lifecycle for all new businesses. This role supports our sales team to meet the ongoing needs of prospective clients while accomplishing internal KPIs and goals within the team and liaising with various other leaders and departments within Charles IT. IT is Personal at Charles IT: we know that building real relationships is half the work and the other half is delivering real results, and creating raving fans.

What Do We Do? Create real relationships and raving fans while implementing and supporting best-in-class technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on annual and quarterly sales objectives in coordination with the company's business plan
  • Lead a solid outside sales team that exceeds sales goals
  • Ensure sales pipeline remain full with qualified leads and opportunities
  • Maintain an in-depth product knowledge of Charles IT's offerings and services
  • Work with leadership to establish both the market and target customer strategies for the company
  • Ownership of the "OML" review processes which includes endlessly improving delivery, content and value
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on the design and build of new services and product offerings
  • Develop training programs to improve and refine the skills of the sales team
  • Maintain quarterly check-ins and continual coaching and feedback to team members as needed

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of the sales lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; and 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education preferably in the technology field
  • 3+ years of managerial experience required
  • Prior experience leading sales teams is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to multi-task and function collaboratively as a member of a fast-paced, client-orientated team
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and work with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executives and C-level
  • Experience with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365 platform and Advanced Support on Mac OS is a plus
  • Review publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future trends emerging in the industry
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of a growing company and client base
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform independently with little or no supervision
  • High level of organization; sharp attention to detail
  • Current, valid US driver's license is required.
