About the Role  

The Business Development Manager is to define and lead a set of services business development activities that are linked to our global business priorities. You will ensure that services engagements are accurately positioned, prioritized, sellers are enabled, and new service offers are clearly defined. You will report to the Customer Engineering Leader and work closely with Professional Services Leaders, Technical Account Management Leaders, Service Sales Leaders, Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers.  

Role Responsibilities 

  • Design, coordinate and be responsible for the end-to-end services business development effort 
  • Develop strong working relationships with business teams to understand goals and priorities across the company 
  • Evaluate business requirements and help define service and support offers to be made available to customers and partners. 
  • Craft prioritization tools and templates to enabled scaled positioning and selling 
  • Work with CX Product Management and Cisco Global Sales to provide guidelines for navigating the Cisco service sales process 
  • Assume responsibility for the growth of the ThousandEyes Service and Support business to contribute to overall customer adoption and success. 

 

Role Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • 5-10 years of experience preferable with evidence of prior success in sales 
  • A natural sales hunter, who relentlessly pursues new opportunities, prospects, and accounts  
  • On a constant mission to land the next big sale and overtake the competition 
  • Experience collaborating with world-class organizations to offer strategic solutions that deliver results 
  • Formulate and implement a customer development plan across account base 
  • Strong understanding of Saas Services business 
  • Previous experience working within a large company with multiple SKUs 
  • Proven track record of working with sales and finance to accurately forecast future deals
