Business Development Manager, Advance Wound Management based in Bangkok

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be a key driver of growth, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing new market opportunities for Smith & Nephew's Advanced Wound Management portfolio in Thailand.
This role will spearhead the expansion into untapped segments, with a particular focus on driving focus product adoption. Work with distributor network to drive aggressive sales growth, profitability, and key account management and local sales & marketing professionals to review current market trends to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue& margins. Identify and support strategic execution including due diligence coordination and maintaining BD pipeline reports and trackers.
What will you be doing?
New Market Development:

Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify and prioritize new-potential segments (e.g., small government hospitals, private clinics, aesthetic clinics, LASIK centers, nursing homes, home care).

Develop and implement comprehensive market entry strategies, including channel partner management, to establish a strong foothold in new markets.

Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape to inform strategic decision- making and ensure a competitive advantage.
Focus Product Leadership:

Act as the dedicated business owner for our focus product, driving adoption and exceeding sales targets across all channels.

Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies to promote product adoption and utilization.

Cultivate positive relationships with key collaborators and KOLs to advocate for the product's benefits and drive market penetration.

Collaborate with marketing to build compelling value propositions and necessary materials.
Strategic Market Insight:

Understand the company's strategic direction and align new business development efforts with overall objectives.

Maintain a deep understanding of the product portfolio, competitor landscape, pricing dynamics, and market trends.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and collaborations.

Conduct risk assessments, analyze customer needs, and evaluate new opportunities in collaboration with internal collaborators.

Support strategic execution, including due diligence and pipeline management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-
Work closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of market entry strategies and product launches.

Provide feedback on business processes and contribute to their continuous improvement.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:

Education to degree level or equivalent (Medical or Business).

8+ years of experience in healthcare/medical device sales or business development.

Proven track record of success in identifying, evaluating, and developing new market opportunities.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
