Valspec—a global provider of system validation and lifecycle services—provides commissioning and qualification of computerized systems for clients in the Life Sciences industry. Business Development Associate / Manager


Valspec is looking to identify a top tier sales/business development professional, Business Development Associate / Manager, to support expanded business opportunities within our service offerings. We provide technical talent, resourcing support, and project staffing solutions to our life sciences customer base.  We are motivated to identify someone that shares our passion and can mirror the level of energy we put into ensuring that we remain on the cutting edge of emerging technologies and a trusted partner to the life sciences industry. We are open to a hybrid work model.


The ideal Business Development Associate / Manager will be a value communicator and act as a client partner by leveraging expertise and experience in the customers’ businesses to connect the dots between requirements and the resource solutions that would be most effective for their initiatives or project demands.  Experience with capital project pursuits is desired and experience with technical consulting or staffing sales is required.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge around Valspec’s portfolio of service offerings to support our narrative and build trust as domain experts within our space.
  • Identify, uncover, and develop new customers or business expansion opportunities as Business Development Associate / Manager.
  • Navigate and establish professional connections with those who influence decisions at both the CapEX and OpEX level as well as involvement with trusted partner organizations.
  • Partner with talent solutions team in defining open needs at clients, qualifying those needs, presenting top candidates, and driving the selection process.
  • Coach clients through onboarding processes to ensure smooth delivery of resources.
  • Leverage relationships with on-site resources to ensure successful engagements and to gain insights that could lead to further expanding our footprint.
  • Actively engage and maintain a level of influence within industry forums to stay in tune with technology, industry trends, and competitive awareness.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years selling experience as Business Development Associate / Manager with demonstrated results calling on mid-level and upper-level managers in manufacturing, laboratory and/or information technology roles within life sciences organizations.
  • Experience in technical consulting, staff augmentation, or other professional service-oriented sales, especially within the life sciences industry is highly preferred.
  • Pre-wired to operate with a great sense of urgency and unwavering degree of integrity.
  • Strong ability to be an effective storyteller and possess an image commensurate with our sophisticated customer base.
  • Open to a hybrid, remote work model.
