Bell Labs Consulting is an applied network strategy consulting organization with a mission to guide our customers through the massive network, operations, and business transition they must undertake to be industry leaders in the emerging digital and increasingly cognitive economy. Bell Labs FutureX Network Architecture defines the vision of the end state of these transformations.

Our clients include traditional communication service providers, new alternative network providers, private network owners (industry verticals, enterprises, etc.), the public sector, and regulators worldwide. Our work typically includes understanding a customer's current network, operations, and services and providing guidance on evolving them in line with future demands, business drivers, enabling technologies, emerging standards, and industry trends. Customer engagements leverage Bell Labs' proprietary tools, models, knowledge repositories, multi-disciplinary expertise, and innovative problem-solving skills.

In this role, we look for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, creative and positive attitude toward team building and customers, and creating and maintaining C-Level relationships and trust.

As part of the team, you will:

  • You will develop and sell new consulting projects to commercial service provider customers in areas of strategic importance to Nokia.
  • You will work closely with customers at multiple levels including CTOs, CIOs, and CMOs to create new consulting opportunities. You will nurture these opportunities and drive them to closure - resulting in Bell Labs Consulting contracts.
  • You will ensure project delivery goals are set appropriately - focusing on analytically rigorous, forward-looking, pragmatic solutions delivered to senior executives that help them deliver game-changing results.
  • In the delivery phase, you will maintain key aspects of the customer relationship, and ensure that deliverables exceed customer expectations.
  • You will build trusted advisor relationships with commercial service provider leaders.
  • You will work with Bell Labs Consulting Engagement Leaders on your projects to ensure that new insights from your projects are clearly documented and communicated within Bell Labs Consulting.
  • You will provide essential insights to Bell Labs Consulting leadership on the new areas Bell Labs Consulting should create intellectual property, to advance/extend the scope of the Bell Labs Consulting Practices to help create more strategic and high-value future consulting engagements for commercial service providers.
  • You will coach and mentor a team of consultants and technical experts in the organization to constantly enhance our selling and delivery expertise.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • M. Sc. or M.S. in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or MBA.
  • Experience in Consultative selling to CXOs: stature, presence, credibility, tact, and savvy to change customer perceptions and beliefs to influence their vision.
  • Strong consulting skills - Communicating in a compelling way, creative problem solving to find solutions to customers' challenges, pro-activity, resourcefulness.
  • Established relationships with Nokia sales teams and with BLC customers
  • Experience carrying and exceeding sales quota/targets; track record in closing deals
  • Deep understanding of telecom/ICT networks, services, and transformation complexities (technology, operations, and business economics).
  • Ability to learn fast - new concepts, technology, business value propositions, and the Bell Labs repository of offers and examples, and 'present Bell Labs' to customers.
  • Interpersonal, teamwork, business & End-to-end network architecture technical skills
