Summary of Position:

We are seeking a superstar Business Development Manager with a self-starter attitude, desire to succeed and exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.

Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, this person will be responsible for selling NVE’s services and product solutions and generating qualified new business opportunities that increase revenue and drive growth. This person is NVE’s “door opener” and will be responsible for the challenging task of prospecting and procuring new brand clients and expanding NVE’s presence in the marketplace.

Role Priorities:

  • Sales Strategy: Work with VP of Business Development to craft and implement a go-to-market sales strategy that focuses on selling NVE’s services and product solutions
  • Support to VP of Business Development: Provide direct support to the VP of Business Development as assigned/needed
  • Prospecting & Lead Capture: Prospect and capture new leads through strategic marketing, opportunity research and client cold calling and emailing
  • Pipeline Management: Generate and maintain a pipeline of qualified business opportunities
  • Competitive & Market Research: Generate and leverage ongoing competitive and related market research to support sales strategy and related initiatives
  • Relationship Management: Develop, nurture and maintain relationships with hot leads, prospects and customers in effort to strengthen opportunity pipeline and growth potential
  • Request for Proposal (RFP) Procurement & Oversight: Procure and internally communicate new RFPs; participate in RFP process and pitches
  • Corporate Marketing: Support NVE’s annual Corporate Marketing Initiatives, to effectively promote and position the company in an effort to drive more awareness and lead generation
  • Department Support: Lead development of department meeting agendas, take notes during bi-weekly department meetings, maintain NVE Pipeline in Airtable, support on RFP Audits

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads for potential new clients utilizing both traditional and non-traditional sales tactics including cold calling and emailing
  • Deep research into industry trends in order to craft sales strategy
  • Utilize company CRM system to update and track all personal sales efforts
  • Regularly communicate and update existing clients and hot lead with information about NVE’s growing capabilities to keep them engaged and excited at the prospect of working with NVE
  • Manage and regularly update NVE’s Master Sales Pipeline
  • Provide weekly reporting on items such as new leads, upcoming meetings, RFP development
  • Strategize and collaborate with internal teams to prepare RFPs and presentations
  • Internally manage and effectively kick-off all new RFP opportunities; work in tandem with VP of New Business to oversee the RFP process and develop creative and effective responses
  • Prioritize and develop client entertainment, engagement and relationship-building tactics
  • As needed and approved, identify and attend key industry events for relationship building and prospecting opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Full-Time Role
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 3 – 4 years in events, marketing, sales and/or public relations
  • Experience in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Strong background in service-based sales or marketing
  • Goal-oriented and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to write effectively, persuasively and professionally
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Confidence in verbal communication
  • Aptitude to lead and project manage new initiatives
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment with an ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends when necessary
  • Must embody NVE’s core work ethic – The Polished Hustle
  • Experience creating assets in Adobe, Keynote and PPT
  • Experience in building creative sales initiatives that drives agency/brand awareness
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead teams in execution of initiatives
  • Experience managing and collaborating with senior leaders and executive teams
  • Proven ability to work and thrive as a member of a team in a fast-paced creative deadline driven environment with multiple projects
  • Be a self-starter and have meticulous follow-through
  • Passionate about events and experiences!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling integrated marketing services
  • Experience selling content and/or creator marketing services
  • Existing connections to decision markets at a variety of brands a plus but not a requirement
  • Has optimized or created new sales flows and processes

Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time

Location:

  • We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is located in Los Angeles, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: $70,000 - $80,000 Yearly + Commission Package

NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
