Business Development Manager
Job Description
Bergen Logistics, an innovator in the logistics space, is looking for a Business Development Manager to nurture and grow existing business as well as bringing in additional new business. We are a fast paced, high volume company and we are seeking a candidate that enjoys working in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are a must along with a sense of urgency. This position requires collaboration between multiple departments within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business prospects
- Draft responses to the request for proposals (RFPs), customized pitches and business development presentations.
- Present new products and services to existing clients and potential leads.
- Conduct, as needed, onsite partner visits, tours & online system demo to finalize and/or support ongoing client needs.
- Act as a knowledge center resource on products, services, processes, and internal operations, all designed to increase new client applications.
- Develop relationships with key accounts to negotiate profitable business terms
- Participate in account planning and forecasting activities
- Attend relevant trade shows
- Work closely with the pricing team to draft new contracts with the ability to negotiate client leads
- Other responsibilities as they are assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of client services industry.
- Track record of growing revenue.
- Adeptly explains features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full-service line.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
- Ability to leverage strong business development skills and maintain an aggressive desire to grow business.
- Prefer experience using a CRM but not required
- Experience in the logistics or fashion industry is a plus
