Impact: The Business Development Manager works to implement to develop and grow new and existing alliance partnerships for Meriplex. This role is imperative to the incoming flow of NRR and consequently MRR. Without the Manager Business Development gaining and maintaining new alliance partnerships, Meriplex would be unable to maintain the flow of revenue and would be unable to support the strategic growth of the company.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager reports to the VP, Business Development and is responsible for maintaining and growing new and existing Alliance partnerships with Meriplex affiliates supporting our joint business development and marketing activities to grow revenue. Meriplex Business Development Managers are knowledgeable in understating individual alliance offerings and how to leverage Alliance programs and marketing resources to grow assigned alliance partner sales.
Key Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Act as the primary point of contact between Meriplex and our strategic Alliance partners.
- Work with legal on Alliance agreements, addendums, contracts, MOU’s, Big Bets.
- Manage cadence of Alliance QBR’s with key stakeholders (sales, engineering, mktg)
- Oversee Meriplex leadership, operations, tech, and sales contacts with Alliance contacts to streamline business.
- Collaborate with resource leadership (field, brand, engineering, financing, vendor managers) to address opportunities and issues.
- Manage assigned Meriplex and vendor relationships by understanding special pricing programs including submissions for pricing request and any data or Alliance program incentives.
- Work with sales leadership to forecast deals on a monthly, quarterly, yearly basis.
- Focus on growing and developing new business, proactively calling and engaging Meriplex sales teams to grow sales for assigned Alliance partners.
- Determine and understand customers’ requirements for Meriplex product/service offerings.
- Translate Alliance products and promotions into benefits for Meriplex customers and sales resources.
- Serve as a liaison between Meriplex’s internal resources (field sales, engineering, supplier marketing,) and Alliance channel and Meriplex field sales teams.
- Generate Alliance leads by working with Meriplex Marketing department and communicates new opportunities to Meriplex internal stakeholders.
- Leverages Meriplex and Alliance programs and promotions to drive unique value throughout the sales cycle.
- Attends industry and Alliance events/conferences as company leader representative.
- Understands and manages Alliance financial programs.

Education/ Experience:
- 3+ years of Technology Business Growth/Business Development experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the tech industry required; MSP industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience implementing successful business development strategies to grow and foster new partner relationships.
- Experience with IT sales and business development, preferably in relation to technology manufacturers or solution providers.
- Some knowledge of various IT solutions involving: Intelligent Networks (SD-WAN), Managed Security Services, Managed Services, Unified Communications as a Service, Hardware, Professional Services, Cloud and Disaster Recovery Services preferred.
- Intermediate or advanced CRM skills preferred.

Physical Demands:
