Business Development Manager
Job Description
The Business Development Manager - Industrials is responsible for the execution of national sales strategy and plan to capture market share for AssetGuard products tailored to industrial applications (commercial building waterproofing, building envelopes, and roof waterproofing). This role will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing and collaborate daily with a broad group of stakeholders to lead the market development efforts for this product line.
This is a remote position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead business development in new market vertical for AssetGuard products. This is a hunter / market developer role.
- Establish, build, and expand market share with national partners to establish AssetGuard as a lead industrial product supplier to include end users and vendor partners.
- Negotiate sales contracts to ensure profitability of sold products.
- Manage the business relationship with partners to include scheduling, initiating, and facilitating periodic compliance training.
- Report regularly on the progress of the business development and sales plan; Maintain CRM and bid pipeline.
- Act as a liaison with Manufacturing to ensure order fulfillment.
- Work closely with Marketing on advertising, product literature and trade show attendance.
- Leverage AssetGuard's reputation in quality and service excellence.
- Develop and document existing and new customer needs, current and projected including potential new product or service offerings.
- Represents AssetGuard at industrial conferences and tradeshows.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Self-starter with ability to act strategically to secure market share in a completely new vertical.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial or residential construction, or roofing is required.
- Familiarity with water-proofing products and services in commercial or residential construction alongside a demonstrated network of contacts is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to changes quickly.
