Business Development Manager
Job Description
Purpose: The Business Development Manager supports all BCT product lines by driving and supporting new business across the multiple product lines. Primary focus will be on strategic growth and execution.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $230,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and lead capture plans for future CubeSats business and strategic partnerships
- Respond to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the corresponding product line team(s)
- Lead CubeSats pricing strategy in conjunction with corresponding product line owner
- Maintain CRM (customer relationship management) tools with business leads and pending contracts
- Establish and maintain CubeSats sales budget for conferences, trade shows, customers visits, marketing materials, etc.
- Provide revenue forecasts in conjunction with CubeSats product managers to the management/financial teams
- Lead the hand off/de-brief meeting associated with new contracts with the corresponding product team
- Evaluate/track industry trends, economic macro forces, competitor information, etc. and provide actionable recommendations to the management team
- Utilize this information in conjunction customer insights to inform the development and evolution of the each of the product line roadmaps
- Collaborate with the marketing team and product line managers to develop new marketing material, press releases, and social media posts
- Develop/manage any future CubeSats sales team as the business grows
- Provide CubeSats specific input to the spacecraft BD team in support of spacecraft proposal work
- Act as liaison between the CubeSats leads and the spacecraft BD team for demand estimates from the spacecraft side of the business
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline 5-15 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience with customer engagement and ability to grow new business opportunities
- Ability to develop procurement documents and experience with financial and ERP systems
- Proficient working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and software engineers
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and perform detailed trade studies to support diverse business cases
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledge
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
- The ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
