This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.
Job Purpose:
The candidate must have a strong sales aptitude and a track record of sales performance - winning new customers and building a healthy sales pipeline with experience in selling large SaaS solutions into the Renewable Energy sector. Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously as well as with multi-disciplinary teams spread over diverse geographic regions and time zones. This role requires customer interaction at multiple disciplines and levels, as well as coordination & interaction at multiple levels within Fluence Energy.
Primary responsibilities will be to:
ď‚§Responsible for new order booking for Fluence Digital business in the UK & Ireland region.
ď‚§Manage proposals and lead overall proposal activities for customers' Requests for Proposal. Lead internal teams in understanding the customer RFP requirements, the competition, and responsible and leading the sales strategy to close and win these opportunities.
ď‚§Responsible for contributing to sales strategy and execution.
ď‚§Diligent and disciplined use of Salesforce to track and maintain sales pipeline.
ď‚§This position will be home based in the United Kingdom and will report to the VP Fluence Digital Commerce EMEA.Â

Key Skills Required:
•Min 9+ years of direct sales experience, Renewable Energy Software Experience Desirable
•Personable, engaging and motivated, driven to make a difference.
•Able to push the customer’s thinking to quickly gain credibility and build a strong relationship based on adding value.
•Able to use strong two-way communication skills along with a deep understanding of customers’ businesses to push their thinking and direct the selling conversationsÂ
•Able to quickly gain creditability and build a strong relationship based on adding value.
•Ability to actively listen, hear and understand what is said and not said, and comprehend the meaning and intent.
•Ability to persuade and influence, using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of thoughts, plans, activities, services and products.
•Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in business & management, or a related field
•Strong track record of sales quota achievement and pipeline generation.
•Business development skills as well as a strong understanding of how software deals are transacted.
