What You’ll Do
We are growing our marketing team! The Business Development Marketing Manager is unique as they’ll be wholly focused on supporting our Business Development team to increase the impact of our channel marketing and in- person events. This role will report to the Director of Marketing and take direction on projects and prioritization from Business Development leadership.
- Support the Business Development team in optimizing lead creation from our channel partners. Could include pre- and post-visit communications, seasonal promotions, and other campaigns. Act as the marketing partner and liaison with key strategic partners.
- Ensure a world-class presence at all in person events, trade shows and association meetings. Manage all logistics, including vendor/expo coordination, shipping and staffing. Ensure the booth aligns with brand standards and is eye-catching. Execute pre- and post show promotion, lead capture and coordinating speaking engagements. Coordinates with the Business Development team to ensure availability and coverage for all events.
- Monitor and optimize partner referral programs to increase conversion rates. Create emails, landing pages, one pagers and other assets to support these programs. Perform lead submission audits and tracking for accuracy.
- Initiate targeted paid advertising campaigns in support of Business Development initiatives.
- Contribute to the Tekmetric social media channels by providing content (images, copy) from events or other Business Development initiatives, as appropriate, to support the Marketing content pillars and theme.
- Provide overviews, outreach sequences or other documentation to inform and support the Business Development team.
- Assist Business Development team with planning and execution of department goals.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective partners. Attend meetings, as needed, with the Business Development team.
This list of duties is not exhaustive. This position will be instrumental in supporting the Business Development team. The Business Development Marketing Manager will be expected to assist in any capacity needed to achieve individual, team, and company goals and initiatives.

- 4+ years of professional experience, B2B marketing preferred
- Digital marketing experience required
- Experience managing trade shows and events required
- Field Marketing or Business Development experience preferred
- Hubspot experience preferred
- SaaS industry knowledge preferred
- Automotive industry knowledge preferred
- Highly organized with an excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple quickly evolving projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Excel in Google sheets and CRM (reporting a plus)
- Ability to travel as needed, no more than 25%
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence a variety of internal and external partners
- Local candidates only (Houston, Texas area); this is a hybrid work model.
