About the Role:
We are looking for a Business Development Representative for our marketplace segment to drive new revenue opportunities by identifying and cultivating relationships with qualified prospects and current clients. The role involves working closely with the marketing and sales team to prioritize outreach based on the best chance of success to close deals, grow wallet share, and achieve the firmwide business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Learn the Halo business and develop a strong understanding of our products and market
- Participate in annual and quarterly territory business planning and weekly reviews
- Qualify marketing leads, prioritizing outreach to 150+ prospects per week, and securing at least 15 meetings per month
- Coordinate demo and discovery meetings with prospects and Halo’s Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs)
- Help RVPs manage the new business pipeline in Salesforce after a demo or discovery meeting takes place
- Promote Halo-attended, sponsored, or hosted events
- Drive adoption of Halo within partner channel ecosystems
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Must obtain Series 7 and Series 63 (or 65) within six months of employment
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within a financial services or technology environment
- Experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
